A multiplayer Dungeons and Dragons game
Worlds of Aria is a multiplayer adventure game that lets players lead their own Dungeons and Dragons (D&D). It delivers a distinct blend of RPG and world-building mechanics with a strong narrative focus, balancing deep storytelling and co-op gameplay. Developed by Ishtar Games, it’s available on PC and gaming consoles.
Worlds of Aria is similar to games like For The King II, Pummel Party, Castle Crashers®, and Fable — which provides an action-adventure and adventure party gameplay experience to players. In this game, you can invite your friends for free to the group through the “Friends Pass” or you can also choose to play solo.
Save the kingdom of Aria
In Worlds of Aria, four players can enjoy and share a single copy of the game, either online or in a local co-op. Here, you’ll go on a journey where you need to save the kingdom of Aria from a treacherous Duke. Players must do this mission using the dice-rolling mechanics of the game. You’ll lead your own adventuring party here, experiencing a story of chaos and conspiracies within the world of Aria.
As you play, you have the freedom to choose your role in this game and you can replay scenes to discover all possible endings and secrets, which range from three to five choices. Additionally, it’s up to you if you want to collaborate with your friends or your party, siding with them, or betray all of them in the end — it’s in your hands.
The game also features four pre-made adventurers that you can choose like Percemaille, a former soldier, Camelot, the merchant, Belladone, a witch, and Tarot, the magician. Each of them has their own special skill sets and personalities. To progress in the game, you must create the perfect group. However, players cannot create their own characters, which is not ideal for players seeking D&D games that allow character creation.
Play using the dice-rolling mechanics
If you like adventure games that have dice-rolling elements, Worlds of Aria is a must-try game. The game's mechanics are streamlined yet deep enough to satisfy seasoned D&D players. The rules are intuitive, making it easy for newcomers to pick up, while more experienced players can explore the complexities of character development and skill optimization. This game lets you play solo if you want to or with your friends for more challenging and exciting gameplay.
